About this blog

I created this blog to record recipes I’ve tried and would like to share with my family and friends. So when someone sends me a message asking how I made something, I send them a link to my post or the original.

The main reason this blog exists is to record old family recipes for the next generation of home cooks in our family.

Any recipe I tried from online blogs and magazines have been linked and attributed to the owner.

Mommy and Nanay recipes

Recipes under Mommy Leony’s Recipes were from my beloved mother-in-law Leony and Tita Yolly. No exact measurements but always tastes the same. Always made with love. Their recipes are categorized as ‘Mommy Leony’s Recipes.’

My mom is called Nanay (Tagalog) and she was originally from Pampanga. The recipe for Kilayin was my favourite dish her sister Epifania made whenever she will visit us from Tarlac. Nanay also knows how to make this but Ti Paning was better at it. Their recipes are categorized as ‘Nanay’s Recipes.

Her specialty is the Adobong Itik and Beef Morcon. Both I have yet to try and make. I have made her Itik with Pickles many years ago which I have yet to try and post here.
