Cook this the day before we eat this or at least a few hours. After cooking this I would let it cool. This makes the sauce thicker and tastier.
Leftovers taste really good the day after
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg beef sirloin, cubed
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- Juice of 4 pcs Calamansi (Philippine lime) or 1 lemon, about 3 tbsps
- Ground pepper
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- Minced garlic
- Chopped onions
- 1 cup water
- 1 large potato, cubed
- Red pepper, sliced
- 1/2 can of Reno Liver spread
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp sugar
Steps
- Marinate beef in soy sauce, tomatoes, lemon juice and black pepper for at least 4 hours
- Sauté garlic and tomatoes in a large pan.
- Add beef and marinade and continue cooking for about an hour or until meat is tender. Add water if it gets too dry.
- Add cubed potatoes, red pepper and liver spread.
- Add tomato sauce and sugar.
- I added carrots and removed the sugar.
