Beef Asado

Cook this the day before we eat this or at least a few hours. After cooking this I would let it cool. This makes the sauce thicker and tastier.

Leftovers taste really good the day after

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg beef sirloin, cubed
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • Juice of 4 pcs Calamansi (Philippine lime) or 1 lemon, about 3 tbsps
  • Ground pepper
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • Minced garlic
  • Chopped onions
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 large potato, cubed
  • Red pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 can of Reno Liver spread
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Steps

  1. Marinate beef in soy sauce, tomatoes, lemon juice and black pepper for at least 4 hours
  2. Sauté garlic and tomatoes in a large pan.
  3. Add beef and marinade and continue cooking for about an hour or until meat is tender. Add water if it gets too dry.
  4. Add cubed potatoes, red pepper and liver spread.
  5. Add tomato sauce and sugar.

  • I added carrots and removed the sugar.
